Types of Tarot Spreads

Traditional ones are very popular still such as:

Celtic / Cross Spread (Laid out like a cross with one or two cards on the corner right hand to symbolise the answer or outcome)

Past Present & Future (3 cards representing each)

Horse-shoe Spread (7 cards laid out like a fan or a horse shoe upright)

Calendar Spread (One card for each month laid in a clock-wise movement completing a circle with one in the middle that should show the whole mood/tone for the year, get detailed in this and add two cards more for each month).

With timing: Good cards laid and a good reader can read a timing of events, although not always accurate in happenings as cards could signify the plans 'initially being planted' or implemented but not always going to commence until future. Look to nearby cards for 'drastic changes' with several pointing towards actual plans moving or taking off in present or the very near future timing.

My favourite are ones which I had used and modified for my own easier readings; a personal 'Signature Spread' such as:

'Pairs' (2 cards in a pair times 6 (pairs) total) To make a pair; take one card from the Major Arcana and take one card from the Minor Arcana) each pair should communicate the 'situation' in question together.

'The Five Card Dialog Spread' (5 cards) 2 cards on the left starts the situation, the middle card is the 'topic' and the remaining 2 cards to the right should 'wrap up the situation' - read all 5 cards as one dialog to a situation and it's remedy.

'The Clockwise 'Re-Cap-En-Ten' (10 cards) place a card in the middle that resembles you from the court cards, then lay the remaining 9 cards in a clock-wise movement completing a circle.

They both offer 'con artists' a new playground for scams engaging through the written word.
Here's how...
Dating sites seems to be more savvy now but still 'lack of safety' has not changed, they are savvy into segregating the types of people out there they can attract like Christian Dating, Mumsdatedads, Uniformdating and sick ones like herpes passion - My My.... this is terrible Russian Roulette!

I am an artist and I have submitted my art images for exposure to one highly respected gallery and rightly so! In order to give them my 'proper consent' that my details, my photo are 'TRUE' and not just what my signature looks like (who cares!) but get this: to enroll I must scan over my driving license, enter the reference, (checked that my address is matched), and that my license has my photo in it! I am not even seeking to date anyone..

Ok here's another finding of mine, a woman tried a dating site that was 'free' completely 'free' and she dated this guy - fell head over heels, then to find out he is on probation because he is a criminal with a record already, an alcoholic and possible undiagnosed 'sociopath' - then because she dated him, she got recalled back into court to fight over the custody of her children all over again with her ex husband who feared over her careless choice of men (or dating sites bad luck should we say?), as a consequent the number of hours she is allowed to see her children has dropped even though she is no longer with this man.

What's worse is that these dating sites who are so careless, safety precautions other than 'good will advising gently to members on terms and moral ethical dating tips' is not enough, because they link their sites to reach other vulnerable mothers and children such as babyworld, askamum etc..

I could pretend to be anybody I want..
Stories written out there range from humorous to deadly... I have a funny experience, I dated this guy, luckily I had already known him through a friend so meeting up from the dating site wasn't so daunting as he didn't feel like a complete danger... One the first date at the door, he asked whether I had some glue like 'UHU glue' because on the way he had lost one of his front tooth and was searching all around the pavement for it and now wants a glue to stick it back on! This was hilarious but imagine if he was a stranger and looking at how pityfull the situation is allowing him into my flat to look for glue - would I have been vulnerable yet safe? No gurantees right...

A tarot reader should not prey on the vulnerable like ones who are dying of cancer, or ones who are pregnant.

A good tarot reader shouldn't mind a face to face contact, a little background check and real names given or a contact number for reassurance later on and they should not turn down a free trial offer. A good tarot reader should have references providing full names references or other companies recommendations. a GOOD TAROT READER must by law state 'this is for entertainment purposes'.
You shouldn't read to the sick or the pregnant because they are naturally 'highly curious'.

I read for a person who was dying of cancer - bad mistake, I did not ever accept her money yet I gave her my number as she sounded lonely and wanted someone to talk to, she called me everyday (I didn't read to her) I just gave her company and positivity that she must look to everything being ok. I changed number in the end.

A friend of mine was pregnant and she seeked a tarot reading, the reading was fairly accurate - got told that her current boyfriend will get her pregnant but he will move on with some other girl. Yes tarot readings can be accurate but the timing is NEVER right, or just remember me having already studied tarot for years myself - I know many flaws in tarot or psychic readings. Not all the information is there and when it is given it is not given in a smooth running of chain but like 'broken English' you understand only bits of it and bits of it can be misunderstood for something else. Besides you think you see the future but because you have seen the major turns heading yourway you know you can 'dodge' that fortune and in turn the future looks even bleaker or even more confusing or rosier but with consequences.. You can find fate or out do fate but not for very long.. and this goes for both dating sites and psychic/ tarot readings.

Career

Her earliest collection from 1998 donated to where she studied at United World College of South East Asia in Singapore, but it was not until 2003 that her work was exposed to local UK art galleries and buyers. In 2005 Jenny's art reproduction-prints were used in several kinds of merchandised goods such as tote canvas bags, ladies t-shirts and proved a hit sale for the launch of queenofcongo online shop at the well known NEC fashion event The Clothes Show Live NEC [1], meanwhile the exposure of giclee re-prints of wall art and posters were also launched out for sale at Amazon.

In 2008 she was nominated 'local artist' that year and thus exhibited her art work at her local county of Wychavon in Worcestershire, England. [2] [3] Her work was also exposed on line in the Satchi-Gallery Online [4]

In most of her art collection the artist mainly focuses on magnificent detail to facial expressionism leaving part or most of the body purposely in slight disporportional or unrealistic forms.

Jenny's art shows her desire to especially elaborate the state of hair style with an impression of movement at a particular state. The artist encourages you to look at the painting as a whole with freshness, passion and a sense of immediacy.

Jenny's method in getting inspired is by randomly selecting a one word theme from a dictionary before she incorporates the inner emotions and meanings amplified onto canvas.

When you are lost, hurt and curious or experience insomnia, living in this modern age, where fast paced movements and ‘instant gratification’ feeds you when you are hungry for knowledge. People turn to the occult, tarots, horoscopes, holistic, search engines etc.. BUT WAIT... here are the other options..

Jacob and the stairway of heaven, from walking all day he got lost and asked God to help him, that night he laid his head using a rock for a pillow and he had a strange dream of a stairway resting on the ground with its top reaching up to heaven and the Angels of the Lord were going up and down it. He saw a bright light that shone at the top of the stairway, God himself appeared, he heard the voice of God, letting Jacob know that God will give him all the land he is lying on, and all of his offspring and his descendents will be blessed.

And to have two different dreams mean God had made up his mind and that it will happen soon. The Pharaoh had put Joseph in charge of all this all that Joseph had interpreted from the Pharaoh’s dream came true.

Notice how the plants stay still and how light reflect off it, what noise is behind you, what emotions do you feel and why? Notice a static spark you get when you collide with another skin and electricity is charged, notice how you press your both arms against both walls for 5 minutes and when you let go, your arms feels like it’s rising up by itself.
For example notice how out of nowhere that can remind you or no spark why did you just suddenly think about your great grandmother and let’s say you thoughts are of seeing her with a rolling pin? Then you find you go to your arts class then the teacher says that you may not be able to do any print making because there are no other rolling pins spare. This thought process came to remind you in advance I would suggest.

3. BE SELF LESS:
Lets be real, how can you be attentive let alone intuitive if you’re all about ‘me me me’?!
Understand others then you will be understood. Understand that knowledge is power, once you understand you can better a situation from a premeditated emotion or agenda.

4. THINK OF YOUR PROBLEMS OR PRESSING MATTER BEFORE YOU FALL ASLEEP:
This way you should go into dreaming of from the topic you left off from the waking hour. When you wake up take notes on a diary what you can remember, don’t interpret just yet just write write and describe and describe.

5. HAVE GOOD INTENTIONS, A PURE HEART AND PLAY FAIR.
I personally advise to refrain from being an easy prey to sinning, because that will only attract bad luck bad karma and have the devil crouching outside your door/soul to destroy you. I picked up my Tarot cards 5 years ago, but rarely did I challenge the cards with serious questions.. I had nothing to be so concerned about, so easy happy go lucky.. I barely spent time with it.

I moved house and had just experienced a recent death in the family at the time, as you do you find your Tarot cards amongst the boxes, you give it more of a play – but yet I had no intense questions so I put it down.
The first week of moving in to the new house, I had nightmares of the closets and doors shutting furious by it-self, I had interpret this constant nightmare for a time as a threat that I was not welcome in the house.

I also remember it was since this time that I started seeing the number 33 everywhere, every time I looked at the clock it would be 33 minutes past, a dead alarm clock would buffer up and sound a static noise at 33 minutes past the hour, I would arrive at the only available parking space and find I’ve parked at space 33, this would suggest to me not just my body clock reacting to a time schedule.

Back at the house I brought my female friend over, already she didn’t feel cosy or safe, she even asked me to wait for her outside my own bathroom whilst she was in there. When we sat in the lounge to drink our tea’s and chat we heard little items being thrown around, the noise was coming down from the kitchen, we saw the fridge magnets was all over on the floor, previously the floor was clear as we went in to make our cups of tea. My friend was shy yet scared momentarily I was inviting and trying to divert her attention away to something more positive.

At night I would hear the door bell ring and the automated infra-red activated path light come on, maybe a cat ran by but who pressed the door bell? I had asked, but NEVER did I open the door! I know farewell to avoid feeling silly if I had looked outside with nothing to see out there.
I would do my crafts and feel something was staring through me with pure hate and disgust of my existence, so uncomfortable that I decided to switch off, head upstairs and go to bed.

I felt a warm touch on my knee whilst in bed, like something wanted to get my attention, and no it wasn’t my partner – he was well cosy in his foetal position and scrunched up inside the duvet.
Lying in bed I was a few weeks pregnant and I felt a tug pull out of my lower abdomen and a sweet female voice as to comfort me saying ‘You are going to have a miscarriage but it’s ok, this is meant to be’. I told my partner what strange tug I felt but I didn’t tell him of what I heard just in case I’m going crazy I went back to bed, a week later I felt pain, a huge loss of blood and indeed I had a miscarriage, weirdly I had received a letter days after telling me the results from my urine sample that I gave them a few days after that night, the letter advised me of an abnormality in my test and that it is such a sensitive topic they would like me to come in to speak to a doctor, this letter was referring to the urine test which most likely had shown that I was no longer pregnant or carrying the pregnancy hormones.

This time around, I picked up my cards cause I was bored, depressed, confused and so on.. it gave me happy news and that brought comfort over again over again just what I needed.. good news – so I kept reading. It gave me a few bad ones that made me question more and more and so on.
One afternoon, I was lying on my sofa, just finished watching Jeremy Kyle afternoon talk show, spreading my legs across the sofa, at the end of my foot was a newspaper, I was just staring at my toes keeping it still wondering if I should get my nails trimmed and I saw the newspaper gliding away from the sofa’s arms edge and therefore it was moving right behind my toes and I was not moving. The windows were all closed. I raised an eyebrow thinking ‘Do I give a shit? What other weird shit can happen?’ I guess after the miscarriage I was just numbed out!
But my behaviour of keeping to myself, and ignoring weird objects shifting next to me without my interaction in the house somehow got it to amplify its works even more.
It got bigger and stronger, lamp shades were swinging with plenty of hype, door handles were rattling up and down in front of my very eyes as I was staring away in a world of my own – so it got my attention and I would just get up and do the dishes or do some other cleaning or better get out of the house and do some shopping.
I had to do some other activities as I was not working but couldn’t spend money on unnecessary leisure or luxury on my partner’s earning, so one evening I was calling several other psychics and readers and see if they wanted to get together for the usual meeting and getting to know each other better or to introduce other contacts ‘networking’. I dialled a contact to a medium very well known in media, she had predicted that rockets in 2003 would not come back due to malfunctions and she was telling me and what I had already read online that she had the media knocking on her door wanting her views etc. Before I got into introducing myself properly to her, the first thing she picked up which astonished me and this time hearing it from a stranger over a telephone made it REAL! She said the spirits in your house right now doesn’t like you, it wants you out of the house, it’s been trying to get your attention and you just ignore them. I was jaw dropping and agreeing as yes I have been experiencing this stuff and no I will not be moving out for its sake!

This famous psychic lady on the phone does not know my usual routines in the house or whether I have a job! but what she was describing on what I was doing was what the spirits in the house was telling her what they had seen me do around the house -through her as their medium, but she said my grandmother has come through and she is not an English nationality but she said she’s been watching me sitting in front of the computer and just finding me funny. She said that my grandmother is one of my spirit guide, and she said I am lucky I have a gate keeper which she explained means it’s not that easy for an entity to just possess me. Anyways me and this lady psychic grew friends, we would call each other often and exchange readings, but she was much much much better than me, well she would be as she’s much older and this is how she earns her living!

I class her as a medium, a psychic, where as I am just a Tarot Reader – I had studied the meanings of the card, although she stresses that I am psychic too just not so fond on tuning in or advancing towards it. She was so psychic she would tell me a time scale in weeks and months and dates, and people’s past with very close matches. I would tell my closest friends after each call what she had predicted for me as I write it all down and my friends after a while would come back to remind me ‘remember she told you that would happen? Let’s look at your note again what did you say she’d told you? We would read it and be amazed of the ‘deja vu’ kind of feeling.

Anyways... She was in her mid 40’s and I could sense her doughnut effect life, where to me she seems like she is stuck in the constant revolving doughnut nut shell, she trusts no one, she predicts most things right therefore life was no thrill for her, from knowing opportunity that arises she spoils the surprises for her and people close to her that it drives closeness away. Her life and occurrences feels like the same story all over again, like she was never moving forward. It got me thinking she’s being playing with Tarot Cards since her very young age up until now, could she be cursed to never moving forward? And every little surprise would be taken away by the works of the universe just at d midst of her discovery or attachment to it?

I eventually moved out of the haunted house, but I was also going through a divorce. I used the card more frequently as I was lonely and eventually I had created my own spreads where the cards and I would build a language. I had many date offers, and my friends did try to set me up a few dates and I was so boring, dull and uninteresting. In fact looking back I question was I even myself then? I would get irritated so easily and pass that by as the miscarriage and divorce situation but really I needed to be saved PROPERLY.

I mean what does a possession have to look like? Forget Hollywood – they work fast and magnify the density of a dilemma, and besides of course a possession would happen quietly and gradually, it feeds on your negative vibes, on your low self-esteem and the more heartaches or dramas you have the better! Now I turn more to the positive vibes, I turn to peace, I want to be closer to God so I attend the church service, and it really does give me the kind of peace I was seeking. Who knows I could still be possessed now just under control..?? freaky to think no? How to use your cards by firstly applying the safest mentality...

• It is not an imaginary person
• It is not your friend, your enemy or your God
• See it as your God, it may as well become an obsession or a vehicle in life then you’ll be going around in circles one way road to a funny farm!
• Don’t let the cards control you, control your Tarot cards and show domination over it and not the other way around.
• It is not a compass nor a map of life
• It is not a teacher
• It is not to be used as evidentiary support in convictions.
• Depending on your own interpretations it can be a liar, the truth bearer or just a lost cause...
• Never IS the right time for a reading... it takes skills, patience, memory, an open mind, open-heart, plenty of decoding knowledge and domination before you can even trust your own judgements. For now just focus on the truth is out there, when it feels it just flows easily, reading it seems clearer.
• Treat the messages you can interpret as your ‘blind spots’, especially on a ‘what if’ scenario
• See it as the ‘wing mirrors’ of your car, and your car is your life and YOU ARE the DRIVER and THE ONLY one driving it!

• Do keep a diary of your daily reads you can do on yourself and report on how accurate the reads were, you’ll find new meanings and decoding patterns, you’ll also find that how you’re always learning that there’s no room for egotistical or power trip driven card readers.
• Do take it with you as much as you can and play with your cards in any spare time. Different environments, settings and people can influence your mood, your perceptions, it can either enhance or deter your credibility to shine, your shuffling skills should improve too.
• Do test your credibility with random guests, such as to do a reading on their past, incidents they had with people you have no knowledge on as see if you and the cards can work together to make judgements on a story board on what happened. I have been close on this a few times and still I have not impressed my guests that there’s something predictable or ‘too good to be true so it must not be true’ mentality. Oh well .. it is just a tool not the vehicle of life!
• If you are a beginner reader, its best to focus on interpreting emotional issues for now, such as feelings which are so easy to read from just the cards alone, when you think you’re on an advanced level then you can move into read the practical, nitty-gritty details such as places, characteristics, reversed cards, ascending or descending cards.
• Some readers once advanced are so used to the cards that they know how it behaves – the patterns, ok as an example you can have extremely good card players on a gambling table and the games are all based on luck right? But a pro poker player or pro black jacks players could read cards numerically, who calculates so fast with the complimentary ability of possessing extremely good memory!
So what I am getting at is this: once you know the cards so well, you may even come up with your own spreads on how to conduct a reading, conduct a spread that allows you and your cards to communicate through patterns and codes – some readers will be comfortable just reading from one or two cards personally, I cannot do this because then a lot of what comes out of my mouth must be relied upon and magnified from extra-sensory perception, extra senses such as clairvoyance, clairaudio, and clairsentient abilities. When I do a reading, my spreads uses plenty of cards, it presents a pattern of decoding opportunity for me. My spreads creates a story board for me that in almost every reading I naturally use my clairsentient abilities, using my ‘feelings or what I sense’ what the cards messages are trying to say that ‘I feel’ I can interpret to the querant.
• Remember your cards are not your best buddy, but it is used as a medium to enable messages to be interpreted, acting as such a slave that caters to help us look within our mental and emotional validations of some sort. That is why there is such a big stigma or taboo using Tarot cards, because the devil is well known to interact when a medium such as Ouija board or tarot cards it can be a dangerous influence or means of possession. The only way I see fit on using the cards is what I’ve already mentioned on earlier points here, mainly to adopt a casual, dominating and porosity behaviour towards your cards, that you are not a fragile being easily led or manipulated.
• Keep it away from children, animal and allow only adults that respect your things to handle them.
• When you are finished using your cards for the day, store them on a higher platform above standing height and to keep it free from damage.
• It is not wise to use them in the toilets, are you for real? It is unhygienic and rude!
• It is not wise to use them under the influence of alcohol – you may trigger or hit an emotional nerve or someone else’s that alcohol will only gladly over exaggerate and reaching situations beyond control or to welcome other uninvited senses or even other entities to amplify as with alcohol your fragile state, instability and perception says that your guards are down so that you’re easily dominated.
• It is not wise to do a reading on a pregnant lady, you will have to refuse, it is disrespectful as they are ‘two souls’ so in a spiritual theory it could be seen as a disturbance even if the lady gives you the permission, the baby is another you did not have permission from, and when a lady is pregnant they are naturally hormonal, stress levels vary and you could imbalance their psychological state or worst case scenario cause an early post-natal depression – you never know it could!
• Do gracefully acknowledge critics and concerns thrown at you but do reject the personal insults, it is after all a third degree for a third hand tool.

The three of pentacles is about having found that steady foundation like a tripod, what you had planted from one seed is now grown to be supported by the other two, so that now you can start focusing on your successes, whether that is in your career or in your romance.

How I got into Tarot...

well about the tarot, It started out 6 years ago I studied it at home, bought lots of books, different cards, and books on what cards meant and learnt different kinds of spreads to aid different kinds of readings and questions... so that was a hobby, and it was only since 2 yrs ago that I started doing readings for strangers by going to leisure fairs/events ro raise money for charities, so to sit there on a saturday or sunday on some weekends and raised money for charities to practice confidence and test my knowldege.

Then I found that out of all my different kind of spreads that I can lay out in readings my strengths were in the calendar spread, which is doing the month by month by month reading 1yr view on individuals.

I had those individuals come back to me to tell me that every single points of events I pointed out and written on the piece of paper as a record of my reading for them actually materialised. So it was quite shocking yet heart warming for me too.. this is where I thought I shall focus my kind of specialty on.

Then I approached some local magazines and offered to do them a monthly forecast on love and finance for each star signs in the astrology.. this way I had also advertised my business contact number.

Then I had several phonecalls to say that my readings had been exact to those callers too... and then I had responses from other publications that they were interested to collaborate and use my work on their monthly magazines too.

The thing is some readers use their psychic abilities to tune in and interpret what the cards may be trying to say... or you have a 'Tarot Reader' who studied what the cards mean individually, in pairs, opposites and in combinations, and that is what I am, I am a tarot reader, who's used several books and their tried out research on what the cards have impacted it self to the validation of its meaning and performance. Mind you I am still constantly learning by looking at other tarot readers blogs and chats to what they've discovered and analysed and just keep an open mind.. But yeah I am psychic but only in one ability out of the 3 and that is Clairesentient which means I use my senses and feelings and emotions to tune in. The other two are Clairevoyant = Sees Visions and Claireaudient = Hears spirits.. To have all three you're like a Medium!

But one thing I have learnt about Tarot is this: Everyone has a FreeWill.. so the cards don't mean this will DEFINATLEY happen.. just that if it did exactly to how it was laid out then You didn't really use your freewill to change the course of what was already set out for you did you?
That is what I advise people if you don't like what you see about your future this is your chance to use your freewill and change things... but second thing I've learnt about Tarot is this: The Future always changes when you've had a glimpse of what you know will happen, so I could tell you you will break up with your lover, but then somewhere along the line you never did, maybe because from the reading I made you realise that within your present behaviour you've seen how you can change the course of your future reactions to your lover or romance in general..

So I have to be really really smart and articulate to how I word things to people... because I know this is how Tarot works... instead of giving them the Ultimatum as this is stupid cause you are not god! I do different spreads to look at different angles like what if you did this what will happen? and versus what if you didn't do this what will happen? and what should you do for the best outcome? what happens if you failed? what happens if you suceeded?

So Tarot is really fun and complex to learn that I recommend you doing it just remember the advice 'YOU ARE STILL A MASTER OF YOUR FATE'
